Established in 1980, the American Hearing Center is locally owned
and offers COMPREHENSIVE CARE FOR ALL AGES. The American Hearing Center
offers complete hearing aid and audiological services and can dispense
and service a full line of digital and conventional hearing aids.
Cathy Comstock has been the audiologist for American Hearing Center
since 1989. She received a Bachelor of Science in Education of the Hearing
Impaired from Texas Tech University in 1978. After teaching the hearing
impaired for 2 years, she returned to graduate school and in 1983 received
a Master of Arts in Audiology from the University of Texas. She completed
her Doctor of Audiology (Au.D.) degree from Arizona School of Health Science,
a college of the A.T. Still University. During the graduation weekend
she was honored to receive one of only two Audiology Foundation of American
Professional Leadership Awards presented to the March 2004 graduating
class. She works closely with medical, educational and industrial communities
in order to best meet the hearing healthcare needs of Central Texas.
